Meet Dawn
Hello!
I’m Dawn, owner of Skilled Sparrow!
This is where I’m supposed to gush over myself (in the third person, mind you). Most people will never even see this, so why all the inflated hubbub?
I started Skilled Sparrow at its core as a way to help others. Maybe that’s a card reading, some guidance, or someone to walk through the shadows thats up to you. I know firsthand that most people don’t go looking for someone like me if they are in the most fabulous of places in life. Even more to the point, I’m not going to sit here and list “1 million amazing things about me”. That’s not helpful and full transparency; I’m not all that great about praising myself publicly. I live my life by “if you have to advertise it, it’s most likely a lie”.
What I am really good at is honesty. I am loud, extremely loud when I’m excited or frustrated. I’m eager to help, which can get me in trouble sometimes. I don’t sugarcoat things, but equally, I don’t make a habit of making people feel like crap either.
I’m a real person. Flawed, messy. I get sad sometimes. I lose my way. I’ve lived through hell, grief, strife, abuse, and loneliness. Also, I’ve beaten the odds in thousands of ways.
I’m a Mom of 4 almost-grown babies, married to my high school sweetheart, living in the foothills of the white mountains, trying to find a way to thrive on this crazy rock! I waste my time reading fantasy novels, knitting, hiking, and enjoying my people as much as possible before they fly the coop.
